The Summit Restaurant Mt Coot-tha Christmas Reunion 2002
26 attended with numerous apologies – Graham Bell, Fernando Pascual, Peter & Cynthia Lewis, Leo & Dell Freney, Jim Wheatley, Greg & Valmae O’Brien, Barry & Vicki Sullivan, Graham & Rosalie McEnery, Michael & Marina Purcell, John & Joyce McCormack, Jim & Sophie Kelly, Daryl & Margaret Dwyer, Peter Palmer, Kerry & Mary Donoghue and Dallas & Lyn Graham.
The restaurant has the premium spot at the summit of Mt Coot-tha overlooking Brisbane to Moreton Bay. We had an elevated separate section at the rear of the restaurant that looked out above other patrons to　a panoramic view of the city. Most seemed to be chatting, telling tales of valour and glory and laughing though.
Graham Bell phoned in that he was stranded with no cab, so Sophie & Jim picked him up outside the Indooroopilly Hotel around 7.00 pm.
It was Peter Lewis’s (the newspaper owner) first reunion since leaving the College, Graham Bell’s (the Dr from USA) for many years and Randy’s (busy at the Track) first bi-monthly. All vowed to come again.
The food and service were excellent - no rush to sit down for the meal - "when you are ready". Mick Purcell was starving and decided it was time, at about 7.40 pm, to eat and continue the chat sitting down. Everyone and particularly the ladies said they had an excellent night
