Dallas Birthday Bash Graham’s 60th  Birthday Bash
The party was organised by Dallas’ wife Lyn and daughter Kellie also ably assisted by family friends. The function was held at the Broncos League’s Club Red Hill. The catering was by the Club with a buffet style meal which included a vast array of a wide variety of delicious and freshly cut food.
Dallas’ speech theme for the party was his early childhood years at both Nudgee Junior and Senior Colleges. Also included was his guest list and how each had played a part in his schooling and working life.
A photograph and picture display was presented to the guests on a large white board as they entered the Players Terrace Room at the Club. All of Dallas’ school and working life was displayed on the board.
During the night’s proceedings Dallas made a speech, with quips and banter from the floor, on his Nudgee years experiences and also how each guest had played a part in his life experience thus far. In the latter part of the evening Dallas was presented with a delicious and extravagantly decorated birthday cake. He promptly blew out all the candles and the cake cut and distributed to all the guests.
Then the cards were read and the presents were opened. James Kelly, his wife, Sophie and John Murray were among Dallas’ guests. James Kelly was called on to give an account of some of the goings on in the early days at Nudgee Junior much to the delight of the outer party guests. It was evident to me that everyone enjoyed themselves, the quests were friendly, the food superb and catering excellent, the venue private and cosy and Lyn, Kellie and Dallas’ organisational skills second to none.
Concluding the night everyone was involved in a personal photo with Dallas and his family to be kept as a remembrance of such an enjoyable and memorable night.
