A magnificent evening was had.
It commenced in the paved courtyard, that spills into the City Botanic Gardens, in front of the cafe. Despite the dry spell the gardens are in good order with a number of Flying Foxes cruising the evening sky.
Michael and Lyn Reves joined us for Christmas drinks, before adjourning to a 50th birthday commitment. It was great to catch up again
The Cafe has its own character and having it to ourselves gave it a special atmosphere. Bill, the Cafe Manager and a Terrace Old Boy, provided some complementary hors-dervs. We adjourned to the Christmas festively set tables at around 7.20 pm. The meal Eye Fillet and Chicken alternate drops and extra delicious cheesecake and lemon tart alternate drop desert. Bill also volunteered a complementary bottle of wine in a free raffle - won by Kev Kelly with ticket no 10- to liven up the evening.
20 attended, down on previous years, but the conversation was lively the laughter frequent and raucous - John, Kevin and Eileen, Jim and Sophie Kelly, Peter Palmer, Neil and Cathy Gottardo, Kevin and Joyce McCormack, Leo and Dell Freney, James and Carmel Delahunty, John Murray, James and Margaret Knox, Dallas and Lyn Graham and James Wheatley
By popular request there was a "group discussion" on everything and nothing in particular including the 45th next year.
As a result, Two (2) major events were added to our 45th Reunion Program:
1. A Saturday Race Day, including an NC62 Box at the Races, and
2. A Ladies Night on the Saturday evening at a place and with "activities" (?) to be decided - by popular suggestion.
