Nudgee College Class of 1962

 10 February 2006 Broncos　 What a great evening - assisted by a $20.00 special from the Club for the Seafood Buffet. Attendance: - Jim Wheatley, Leo Freney, Dallas Graham, Ian Wood, Jim & John Kelly, Peter Palmer.
10 March 2006 Nudgee Rugby Legends  - What a great event. The Suncorp venue was terrific, the food, wine exceptional, the show, compared by Buddha Handy (Terrace), incomparable with each of the Nudgee Wallabies giving great comment and yarns.　
What a successful event – at the end of the day 480 attended, providing $90 000 to the Christopher D’Arcy (Nudgee) Rugby Bursary – to provide rugby scholarships to NudgeeThe main course was two cold and two hot dishes set out in the centre of each table in buffet style. The cold dishes were medallions of lamb over chickpea falafel stile salad flanked by rows of tomatoes and shavings of honey leg ham, Italian pork sausage and slices of English pork pie with olives and cheese. The hot dished were roast beef, gravy and mini baked veg and thick German style pork Tatt’s October 7 Luncheon Reunion –
Attendees were: Steve Aldenton, Adrian Crowe, Leo Freney, Dallas Graham, Peter Gavin, Jim Gray (Guest representing NCOBA President Tony Behm), Daryl Hanly (Guest and Principal Nudgee College), John Kelly, Grahame McEnery, Robert Hash, Greg O’Brien, Peter Palmer, Jim Wheatley and Ian Wood.
As usual it was a great event. Main was sausages with saucraut on a bed of mashed potatoes. Desert was an array of cheese, carrot, mud cakes etc to choose from. There were no leftovers from either course. (Psychologically affected from Nudgee days) 　
A special invitation went out from Peter Cleary to the 1962 First XV to attend. John O’Connor and Peter Cartwright sent apologies and Mick Purcell graciously declined a place at the Nudgee Wallaby Legends table to sup with his 1962 First XV mates 　Dela had two 1962/63 tables viz. James (XV) and Carmel Delahunty, Peter and Leo Freney, Peter (XV Capt) and Don Cleary, Barry and Shane (Wallaby XV) Sullivan, Peter and Jim McMahon, Mick Purcell (Wallaby XV), Peter Cleary (XV) Robert Ingham-Myers, Peter Palmer, Peter Cooper (XV), Jim Kelly, Jack Wells Alan Grey Bill Green Michael Lyons and Mick Gordon The Freney, Behm Nudgee family was well represented on the day, as well - Peter, Leo, Michael (Wallaby) Paul and Ryna

10 June 2006 Broncos  A terrific evening - Attendance: - Brian and Mary Barker, Dallas and Lyn Graham, Jim and Sophie Kelly,
Peter Palmer, Jim Wheatley and Leo Freney. The food was good and we had a very chatty and humerus evening with Brian and Mary, our special guests from Perth,
indicating that they had had a great time.
