2008 Tatt's October Luncheon Reunion

Reunion Date:
03/10/2008

The Luncheon was held in the seclusion of The Committee Room on the Mesanine Floor above the Members Bar
We gathered in the salubrious Tatt’s Members Bar then to the old world styled Committee Room for a magnificent 5 star meal, copy of menu attached, and lots of most enjoyable karma
18attended : Adrian Crowe, James Delahunty, Leo Freney, Peter Gavin, Dallas Graham – birthday boy – Daryl Hanley (Nudgee’s Principal)– birthday boy – Robert Ingham Myers, Jim and John Kelly, Grahame McEnery, Peter Palmer, Peter Cooper, Mick Purcell, Greg O’Brien, Richard (Dick) Tastula – the prodigal son returned – Tony Walsh, Jim Wheatley and Ian Wood.
After the main course, Daryl gave us an articulate summary of developments past present and future. Daryl has now been at the College for 8 years and has two to go to complete his initial 10-year appointment. The expansion into the Junior School is going well and is ahead of schedule because as lower classes are made available they are being enthusiastically grossly oversubscribed.
Lyn Graham, what a wonderful person, arranged a surprise birthday cake that arrived unexpectedly just before desert to be met by raucous chorus of "Happy Birthday" and the usual three cheers for the two birthday boys of the day - Daryl Hanley and Dallas Graham.
Rick, now known as Dick, Tastula who is now retired, gave a run down on his family and successful career at Senior Management and Board levels in major and lessor mining companies in the West. Dick, a mining engineer, was also Chancellor of the Curtin University of Technology for some time. Good for you Dick – congratulations on a great career.
There were lots more tales of valour and otherwise on the day - you should have been there. See the photos on our web
