Jim Wheatley’s Vic trip over the New Year early Jan 09, including a look at the Tennis finals, was absolutely terrific, despite the high temps endured by all of the Mexicans, Stan van Hooft included.
There was much reminiscing about first days at Nudgee 50 years ago in 1959 and many solutions to and upswing predictions for the current economic gloom.

For the 50th one suggestion, by Peter Gavin, was a family Ambrose golf day on the Sunday. There was unanimous, enthusiastic support for the NC62 50th Book and for the NC62 Nudgee Scholarship. It was agreed that we needed to determine what the scholarship types / options and costs were. Mick Reeves said the amounts donated needed to be confidential and not disclosed generally. It was a late finish around 4:30pm
NCOBA’s 87th Annual Reunion Dinner - Friday 2 October 09 Because of the clash of dates and events unfortunately only Adrian Crowe attended from NC62.Adrian said he had an excellent night and that there was a good crowd there. He thought around 60. The guest speaker with a Max Gilles style impersonation of Brother Edmund Ignatius Arborio - "Reflections on Life as a Christian Brother", although a Terrace old boy, was exceptionally humorous Unfortunately Adrian missed out on the lucky door prise.
