NC62 50th Reunion Port.
We planned to attach our special NC62 50th Reunion commerative labels to the port bottles on Tuesday, 20 December 11. Unfortunately the bottles supplied were traditional wine bottle size and too small for our labels designed around the traditional squat port bottle supplied with the port samples.
A hasty emergency meeting was held with the supplier who undertook to rectify the problem. He agreed to supply slightly a higher quality McWilliams Port at the same price in a bottle suited to our NC62 label.
We had a very successful and most convivial port wrapping and boxing event on the following day. The new bottle delivery was slightly delayed giving us time for a coffee and short chat at a nearby Gloria Geans coffee shop where we could chat and watch the girls stroll by.
The roll up included: Bob Nash, Paul Lupi & Ozzie Bonutto (down from Noosa on the train), John Howard down from Toowoomba, Dela & Jim Kelly. The wrapping and post boxing was done in the basement underneath Dela’s Cost Less Chemist. It turned out that we had exactly the right number for the job
We confirm that the port has been available for pickup from Dela’s Cost Less Chemist’s address is 257 Brunswick St Fortitude Valley (07) 3252 2672 from 22 December 11 and were posted, as ordered, the following day. The posted bottles should have been delivered to you by now
