2011 CHRISTMAS MIXED REUNION - 26 November at, Il Posto Restaurant, Paddington Central
What a great night and restaurant with plenty of lively chatter and laughter during the night. The bar got a real work out and going over.
An excellent roll up with 39 happy punters in attendance including: Allan & Rosalie Burman, Tina (nee Andrews) & Mark Cushley, Jane & Melissa Andrews, Peter & Elizabeth Cleary, Adrian & Bev Crowe, James & Carmel Delahunty, Darryl & Margaret Dwyer, Dallas & Lyn Graham, John & Margaret Howard, Noel & Helen Humphreys, Jim, Sophie, Kevin & Eileen Kelly, Bob & Carolyn Kretchman, Paul Lupi & Chris Sutton, David & Veronica McCarthy, John & Joyce McCormack, Bob Nash, Greg & Valmae O’Brien, Peter Palmer, Peter & Maree Siganto, Barry Sullivan, Jim Wheatley.
There were two last minute no shows: Bob Nash’s wife Christina who had unforseen grandchildren minding thrust upon her and Barry Sullivan’s wife Vicki had to care for an aged ante.
There were also a host of pre event apologies, including but not limited to Jacqueline Pascual, Mick Reeves, Jimmy Knox, Daryl Hanley, Mick Purcell, Leo Freney, John Kaggelis, Ian Wood, John Murray, Tony Walsh and Neil Gottardo
A special feature of the night was the enthusiastic attendance of Tina (nee Andrews) & Mark Cushley with Jane & Melissa Andrews ex-wife and daughters of our recently departed Classmate Peter Dormer Andrews.
They unexpectedly renewed an old friendship with Noel and Helen Humphreys. Noel and Dormer had been close mates some years ago when they had competing used car yards in Brisbane.
Dallas Graham did the honours and formally introduced the Andrews’s girls and Mark the gathering before flashing all to provide you with the Reunion photos below.
Peter and Maree Siganto had a great night and said they were hoping to catch up with Neil and Kathy Gottardo who they had not seen for some years. Maree was going to get Neil’s contact details from the NC62 Web
John and Margaret Howard brought the country to the city and provided some lively conversation to the evening.
It was great to see Noel Humphreys and Paul Lupi after a long absence, The Queens Arms Reunion in 2000, and to catch up with their wife and partner Helen and Chris. They gave the bubbly a fair nudge throughout the night and were definitely among the stayers and promised to come again - soon.
Dela was really impressed by all of the medical procedures Noel has successfully endured and showed everyone two of Noel’s 12 titanium back screws, the size of your little finger that any trade would be proud to have in his pouch.
Noel has moved from Noosa to the Scarborough area
Jim Wheatley was quiet and from all accounts had a successful evening getting additional info and portraits for The NC62 50th Reunion Book
Bob Nash seemed to have a quiet night too, maybe because Christina was absent, but he had a frequent smile throughout the evening.
Dave McCarthy was his usual suave self. The McCormacks were cheerful and chatty as always.
Kevin and Eileen Kelly had a great evening with plenty of entertaining yarns from Kevin
Dela gave a rousing talk, see photos below, on progress with the 50th Reunion
preparations. Carmel was a star as usual.
Adrian and Bev Crowe seemed to have a great evening as did the Kretchmans and the O’Briens. Peter Palmer was ever smiling and chatty.
They all said – I’ll be back – It must have been a good evening
I think you will agree that Dallas Graham has done a great job with the photos below. Good on you and thanks Dallas
